How can we help?

Answers for households, collectors and venues are below. Still stuck? Email us and we'll get back to you — usually within one business day.

Households

How much is a container deposit worth?
Eligible containers are worth the deposit set by your state's container deposit scheme (commonly 10c each). Your local collector redeems them at a depot and keeps 100% of that deposit.
Does it cost anything to request a pickup?
No — requesting a doorstep pickup is free for households. You're handing your empties to a local collector who does the depot run and keeps the deposit.
What containers are eligible?
Most cans, bottles and cartons covered by your state's scheme. The app shows what counts when you book.
How fast is a pickup?
Book in the app, choose a window, and a nearby collector accepts the job and comes to your door. Availability depends on collectors near you — the app shows this when you book.

Collectors

How do I get paid?
You keep 100% of every container deposit. You redeem the containers you collect at a depot and the refund is yours.
Are there any fees?
Signing up and accepting jobs is free. There's a small flat 50c fee per residential pickup, plus an optional $5/month priority membership for first access to new jobs.
When can I start?
Sign-up is approved quickly so you can start almost straight away (applications are reviewed). Jobs near you appear in the app, sorted by distance.
Do I have to take commercial jobs?
No — they're optional. Commercial runs can offer steadier, recurring income if you want it.

Venues & business

How often do you pick up?
On a reliable recurring schedule that fits your venue. Book a free assessment and we'll recommend the right setup for how your venue runs.
What does it cost?
We tailor a plan to your venue — typically less than a waste-contractor add-on. Book a free assessment for a no-obligation quote. Cancel with notice, no long lock-in.
Do we get the same collector each time?
Yes — one verified local collector looks after your venue on a recurring schedule, so it's a familiar, reliable face.
What's the “no double-dipping” bit?
Waste contractors often charge you to take your containers and pocket the 10c deposits too. With Recycled AF, the deposit value goes to a local collector instead — not skimmed by a contractor.
